I joined the school in a new role to spearhead the development and execution of high-profile events and strategic initiatives that advance the school’s mission, goals and strategic priorities.

Andela is a fully remote company with employees in 30+ countries. I joined the organization in a leadership role to create and lead the new events and experience function to build strong connections and community, strengthen culture, accelerate learning, and fuel collaborations. Selected achievements include:▪ Designed and managed the company's first hybrid offsite, uniting 300+ employees from around the world. Achieved record-high employee satisfaction scores and social media engagement metrics.▪ Oversaw hybrid executive, leadership, and team offsites, and board meetings, including Andela’s Revenue Kick Off, in destinations around the world, leading cross-functional teams and creating policies and processes to support events.▪ Collaborated with the executive team on event objectives, purpose, messaging and strategy.▪ Partnered with Marketing on rebranding efforts. Sourced and distributed rebranded materials globally, enhancing brand consistency and employee pride across all touchpoints.▪ Negotiated $850k+ in cost savings and incentives across all major events.

Hired for a new leadership role to shape the strategy and direction of McIntire’s strategic events and engagement programming. Developed innovative initiatives to cultivate community and connections across Mcintire’s global network. Enhanced programming contributed to the school exceeding its $250 million campaign goal 17 months ahead of schedule. Selected achievements include:▪ Managed and developed the Events and Engagement team.▪ Launched and analyzed McIntire's first all-alumni survey, reaching 14,000 alumni and informing strategic program enhancements.▪ Led the creation, planning and oversight of a robust calendar of signature events as well as regional, affinity and industry programming, virtual and on-Grounds events.▪ Oversaw the planning of McIntire’s Centennial Year Celebrations and engagement programming.▪ Managed alumni committees to spearhead affinity and industry-based programming. ▪ Revamped McIntire’s Alumni Trustee program to create opportunities to support peer-to-peer fundraising and outreach initiatives, and engagement programming.▪ Collaborated with leadership, faculty, staff and students to create opportunities to get more alumni involved in the life of the school.▪ Fostered relationships with Events, Engagement, and Advancement professionals across Grounds. Knowledge gained enabled our team to be the first to quickly pivot to virtual programming and expand offerings across the pandemic.▪ Founding member of UVA’s Advancement Community Excellence (ACE) Committee. Created a peer-to-peer recognition program to encourage collaboration and recognize community builders. ▪ Served on the Board of Directors for ABSAP. Presented at annual conferences.
