I love exciting and thrilling adventures, like swimming with sharks and going on safari……but only in my personal life! In my professional life, I’d much rather prepare for all of the worst-case scenarios so I have mitigation plans in place. I liken sharks to project managers – we don’t always like them, but they are necessary to keep the ecosystem in check!Growing up, I thought I would go into corporate fitness or pharmaceutical sales…..little did I know that I would feel the pull of technology and the desire to add structure to its projects and spend time doing both project management and operational support. Every time I venture away from project management, I’m reminded of the quote from The Godfather: “Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in!”After 20 years of technology and technology project management, I know where I belong and where I can provide the most value to my team and my company.
