Instituted Medical University of South Carolina’s first Performance Improvement Department. Led overall coordination of the Hospital System’s Performance Improvement program. Provided leadership and advisement to the MUSC Enterprise and all Related Entities through the deployment of robust performance improvement and project management approaches, including but not limited to Lean, Six Sigma, and Change Management, to support MUSC’s operational and clinical performance.Developed and executed an ongoing project selection process that included senior executive direction and assured performance improvement activities align with strategic objectives. Defined the project management process, standards, deliverables, and operational cadence necessary to ensure consistent project execution. Consulted with business and clinical leaders on process improvement by establishing links between process improvement initiatives and business strategies, to identify and prioritize high-impact opportunities. Coached senior leaders and middle managers on leadership and change management to support and drive change related to the MUSC journey of high reliability and just culture. Oversaw a portfolio of over 800 performance improvement initiatives.Established MUSC Enterprise Performance Improvement Training Program.
