I am currently teaching Interpersonal Communication within the Department of Communication Studies at The University of Iowa. I am responsible for leading 3 weekly discussion sections with a total of approximately 75 students. Within in discussion section I work closely with students to gain a better understanding of concepts covered in the large lecture and their weekly readings. I am also responsible for all student assessment and grading for those in my discussion sections. I work closely with my fellow Interpersonal TAs and the course director throughout each week to ensure each section is running in a similar fashion. Interpersonal Communication is a class that emphasizes a combination of critical thinking and analysis of communication theory, combined with everyday communication interactions within one's personal life. While teaching, I am concurrently working toward completing my doctoral degree in Interpersonal and Family Communication.

I am currently teaching in the Department of Rhetoric. I am responsible for all course creation, maintenance, grading, and instruction for the basic Rhetoric course - a class that is a requirement for all students on the UI campus. The class teaches a combination of critical thinking, rhetorical analysis, writing, and speaking skills. It is a foundational course for the students that prepares them to continue on for a successful college career. While teaching, I am also pursuing my doctoral degree in Interpersonal Communication.

I was a TA for two years at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Each semester I was responsible for teaching 3 discussion sections of Comm 103 - Public Speaking. Concurrently I was a full-time graduate student, working towards my MA in interpersonal/family communication. I earned that degree in the spring of 2013.

I managed all current marketing and large IT projects from start to finish ensuring all activities are tracked, completed and billed for. I focused on quality control of all our work, testing and communication with the client in regular meetings, phone calls and emails. I was also doing the professional writing for our clients, should they need this service. In addition I met with, and counseled, clients to help them determine and meet their marketing and technology goals. As an added bonus, during my daily interactions with clients I got to develop close relationships with them and get to know their businesses well.

I was responsible for managing all clients we had. I worked with their project timelines, getting things turned around from Sortis to the client and vice versa, putting together pricing and project quotes and developed the marketing calendar for each client.

As the Marketing Intern I assisted the marketing group and conducted phone research with our customers, organized Excel lists of data and contact information, contacted partner associations and whatever other tasks were asked of me.
