I am senior at the University of Miami double majoring in political science and ecosystem science and policy with minors in Arabic studies and history. At UM I am in my second year as the editor-in-chief of the independent, student-run newspaper The Miami Hurricane where I lead a staff of over 150 students to reporting excellence and national awards including my nomination as the Associated Collegiate Press Reporter of the Year Pacemaker Award.Beyond my time at the paper, I freelance and engage in social, environmental, and political research as I pursues my dual passion of science communication and journalism.This summer I expanded beyond journalism working as a legal intern with the P.E.E.R.
