Served as the career counselor for the School of Design students majoring in Fashion, Film & Moving Image, Business Communication, and Visual Communication Design. Responsibilities included:• Providing educational information about each industry related to the workforce; • Recruiting employers for seminars, workshops, and events;• Helping students interested in creative fields develop interviewing, resume writing, personal branding, and career management skills.During my three year tenure I was responsible for: • Launching and managing the editorial calendar for the Career Services Blog establishing the career services department at Stevenson University as subject matter experts, highlighting student success stories, and showcasing employer opportunities and sponsorships. • Planning and executing the annual "Steve Talks" an inspirational, interactive, networking event inspired by TEDTalks where we brought students and employers together to discuss career paths, tips for entering the workforce, and tested student's ability to present themselves as professionals. Students that actively participated in preparation for the event and during, received internship and employment opportunities. • Designing and executing a brand identity system to better communicate our mission, vision, and services to students, faculty, and employers. • Managing the design and communications team to promote career services to students, faculty, and employers. • Establishing a more comprehensive internship program in collaboration with the School of Design.
