Administer the Jackson School of Geosciences Career Services for employers, students, alumni and faculty. Responsible for all phases of program development and delivery of professional career services.Work with employers to coordinate events for career services programs to develop full-time, professional and internship opportunities. Provide advanced career program administration for undergraduate and graduate students, including B.S. Geology, M.S. Geology, M.S. EER, PhD Geology students. Evaluate and implement strategies to increase participation in the programs. Develop and coordinate career planning and placement standards to measure attainment of goals and objectives. Coordinate and teach a 5 week job search group for graduating seniors in the spring and provide multiple career session talks and workshops to the GEO Mentor course in the fall and/or spring. Request programming funds and submit requests for events, room reservations, purchase orders, contracts, etc. and adhere to Jackson School policies and procedures. Establish and maintain effective communications that enhance services of career planning and placement with employers or corporate executive recruiters for internships and full time opportunities.
