I worked for the Mrs Box in two capacities: as a contractor (provided design expertise during the development of a new product, improved design files for compatibility with finishing equipment, built a system of organization for increased efficiency in producing orders) and as a processor (perfecting hand-crafted, high-quality velvet ring boxes). I especially enjoyed creating an instructive manual that utilized user-centered design to communicate complex qualifications in plain language.

During my time as the Community Advisor for a co-ed freshmen dorm, my responsibilities included hiring and supervising the Living Area Council, assisting the dorm director with administrative tasks and preserving staff unity by reporting team dynamics to the dorm director.

As an RA in a freshmen dorm, my primary responsibilities were to connect my residents with opportunities to be involved in campus life and to help them navigate their first-year in college by being available for conflict resolution and enforcing their commitment to live out university code of conduct. I successfully formed a creative strategy to reach residents who seemed apathetic to university involvement. I worked closely with a team of 10 individuals to provide dorm wide events throughout the school year that promoted hall bonding, confidence in personal strength and filled personal, scholastic, and spiritual needs.

I co-taught a one unit class of 25 first-year students, leading discussion on topics such as budgeting, leadership style, conflict style, and personality assessments. I weekly collaborated with my partner to prepare lessons, plan interactive activities, and engage our students in important materials.
