    As the Director of Student Life, it is my responsibility to ensure that we are finding ways to connect students to co-curricular activities that strengthen their academic experience at Ocean. We do this in partnering with various academic departments and serving on committees across campus that serve the greater purpose of providing cultural, social and recreational activities for students. In my role, I also promote student leadership and development that fosters engagement on college campus to help strengthen the persistence rate of students. We offer over 50 student clubs/organizations that connect students with their interests outside of the classroom. By providing students with a forum to explore the questions: Who Am I? Where Am I Going? How Will I Get There?, it is my ultimate goal to assist students in discovering what it is that they are passionate about. On a day to day level, I oversee the operations of the Student Life Department within the Student Center. The Student Center serves as the overall welcome center for the campus community. Besides being a standard stop on any campus tour, we also provide hospitality not only to students, but also to alumni, parents of students, and other visitors from the community.
