Jennifer Kim-Anh Tran, Phd Email and Phone Number
My current work as an Ethnic Studies Professor, business leader, and racial justice and movement strategist is deeply informed by my upbringing as a daughter of Vietnamese refugees, born and raised in the vibrant city of Oakland, Ca. I leverage more than a decade of research experience in race and ethnicity to provide training, strategic planning, and leadership development to organizations and communities committed to collaborative visioning. My work focuses on shifting from "diversity training" to exploring and practicing the benefits of diverse collaboration for optimal impact. My clients represent mixed sectors such as local government, chambers of commerce, community advocacy organizations, philanthropy, and leadership institutes. Prior to earning a PhD in American Studies and Ethnicity from the University of Southern California, I completed dual bachelor degrees in Urban Studies and Planning and Ethnic Studies from University of California, San Diego.
