About Jennifer Kleinjung

“The more I learn, the more I learn there’s more to learn. Therefore, I find that boredom is a state of mind one chooses over useful activity.” --Jan BowmanThis was the quote I emblazoned on my teaching philosophy portfolio as I prepared for my student teaching assignment and career as a high school English teacher. It’s still my life philosophy today in my work as a librarian where I inspire, educate, and engage individuals and communities in: • How to find the right information to meet their particular needs• How to utilize training and information about relevant technology• How to participate in sharing their own knowledge with the wider worldWhether in a school, museum, library, or other organization; I bring a great deal of passion and enthusiasm to my work driven by placing organizational mission and the unique needs of the community I am serving first. According to the Clifton StrengthsFinder inventory, my top five strengths are: • Intellection• Input• Connectedness• Ideation• LearnerI am a thinker who is constantly collecting information, seeking out connections between activities, individuals, and organizations in order to pull together resources for the common good. I am an idea person who is energized by creative problem-solving. And at the heart of it all, I am always learning. It’s a good life.
