Health data is the most powerful currency for change in our healthcare ecosystem, and we are still learning how to use it to create healthier communities. #healthliteracy: We have to ensure that when a patient leaves a healthcare appointment, they fully understand their health issues, and the importance of the prescribed follow up. I believe that when patients understand and engage in their health, they can better manage their care which leads to better health outcomes. #interoperability: Providing providers, patients and their caregivers access to connected health information is foundational to transforming health and healthcare. We must make healthcare technology interoperable, or connected, providing a patient and their “team” with access to this information for treatment and decision-making.#kindnessmatters: In a world where so many are disconnected and traumatized, being kind is the highest human act we can share with others. It’s a core value for me, and I practice it in all my interactions.
