I edit content for clients on career development and cultural issues. I also provide developmental editing services for college applications, graduate-level personal statements, theses, and dissertations.

Developed a project plan to conduct research on 20 years plus of news media industry changes for the revised edition of text book, "Mediating the Message" by Dr. Pamela J. Shoemaker and Dr. Stephen J. Reese. Collected data and organized content, analyzed trends in media changes, and developed findings into in-depth reports for authors.

Researched and collected news media data for an advertising professor’s qualitative research branding study finding connections between cultural views on wealth and power and acceptable clothing choices for women political leaders. Wrote the literature review providing background and significance for the study. Strengthened writing and the methodology description for advertising research professors’ in-depth interview study, “Account Management and the Changing Advertising Landscape,” bringing it to publication for the Journal of Advertising Education (Spring 2008)

Led a team of two assistant editors and freelancers to meet Congressional Yellow Book Winter 2005 edition quarterly publication update. Coordinated Congressional Yellow Book quarterly production cycles by tracking information included in the front matter, proofing the cover and blue lines. Managed Congressional Yellow Book improvement research projects, adding 20 Congressional biographical records to the book per quarterly update and 60 caucus membership lists for one quarterly update.Trained LDI subscribers on search database capabilities and devised strategies for subscribers to find information using the database, allowing subscribers to contact the appropriate industry leaders for their marketing, lobbying and business needs.

Surpassed daily 15 page editing quotas by editing 25 pages per day, allowing Municipal Yellow Book team to meet quarterly production goals by deadlines. Go-to editor for assisting other book teams in meeting their deadlines. Compiled Congressional candidate biographical and campaign staff data and confirmed information directly with campaign headquarters ensuring factual information was posted on elections site.

Tracked and compiled municipal government election results via news media sources and local election offices, and posted the results in real time for LDI’s elections website. Proofread final pages for publication, identifying and correcting inconsistencies in information before production deadlines.Confirmed staff and leadership changes in municipal government departments daily by contacting city and county offices, ensuring subscribers had the most up-to-date information on municipalities across the U.S.

Interviewed, reported and wrote on federal and state-level lobbyists and their clients and developments in the field for two weekly columns, “Who’s Getting the Work” and “Beyond K Street.” Updated and maintained registered lobbyist database on used for sources and story ideas daily.Conducted research on a variety of policy issues, legislation, and Supreme Court cases for reporters, providing background information for stories.
