• Oversaw News and Information, Media Relations, Social Media for the entire University and acted as Magazines Editor• Oversaw the launch and continuing publication of an award-winning biannual School of Law magazine in Fall 2017 • Continued to oversee School of Law marketing. Led an increase of the School of Law’s admissions digital marketing, using advanced digital marketing approaches via Google ads, social media ads, and outdoor placements with mobile remarketing.

• Led development of an advertising and marketing campaign for prospective J.D. students. This resulted in a significantly larger incoming St. Mary’s Law class of J.D. students, defying the national trend of declining School of Law enrollment. The campaign included integrated video, digital, billboard and print advertisements, as well as email and direct mail marketing pieces and social media posts. These achievements were accomplished on a tight budget and timeline, and assisted in generating about $2.8 million for the School of Law through enrollment.• Expanded traditional and new media engagement outreach programs. This resulted in 23 percent more press releases and media pitches to showcase School of Law faculty, students and programs, resulting in placements in national and international outlets including: New York Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, USA Today and the Guardian.• Launched social media campaigns resulting in a 30% increase in followers and boosted engagement with School of Law social media accounts.

• Founded a thought leadership services company that offers content creation, media and social media strategy, and coaching to enable individuals and organizations to share expertise, meet business objectives, and gain recognition and credibility in their fields. Thought Bubble Studio enables its clients to gain status and reputation, which often result in new customer requests, speaking and leadership opportunities, and industry recognition.

• Produced more than 1,000 print and breaking news web pieces with a focus on higher education and scientific and technology research. Covered a range of metro beats, such as city government, K-12 education, higher education and scientific research.

• Wrote weekly 210SA cover stories on a variety of pop culture topics geared toward the 18 to 39 demographic.

• While working full time as a reporter with the San Antonio Express-News, I also taught Newsgathering, Advanced Online Journalism and related topics to college students in the evenings.
