Jennifer has worked for HNU PID Analyzers since 1994 beginning in inside sales and marketing, setting up and attending trade shows in the USA and Europe, developing advertising copy, direct mail pieces and worked with trade magazines. In May 2003, she became an owner and manager of PID Analyzers, a small chemical instrumentation manufacturing company, alongside her father and currently specializes in web-based marketing initiatives, social & digital media, developing & maintaining relationships with key clients including OEM accounts as well as management of manufacturing & production activities.

Completed 1 year of service as an Associate to this Committee in 2019 and began a second year of service as an Associate to this Committee in 2020. Became a Member and CCS Partnerships Subcommittee Co-Chair in 2021-present. Currently sourcing and supporting liaisons from ACS units as well as outside entities who are chemical safety stakeholders or want to be.

The Connecticut Young Worker Health & Safety Team is comprised of professionals representing lead state agencies as well as federal programs and organizations whose work includes positive youth development in our schools, communities and workplaces. Members include representatives from the CT State Departments of Education, Labor, and Public Health; U.S. Department of Labor Wage and Hour Division (WHD), U.S. OSHA, CONN-OSHA and ConnectiCOSH; Capitol Region Education Council (CREC), CT Women’s Education and Legal Fund (CWEALF); Central Connecticut State University (CCSU) and industry.CT’s Young Worker Health and Safety Team offers professional development, resources, data and events focused on preparing youth, and the adults working with them, to better navigate the world of work. In particular, the Team offers workshops on Working Papers for school officials; professional development on young worker safety awareness to educators in a train the trainer model; and annual exhibits and events for legislators and the public at the State Capitol to expand awareness of young workers – their history and their future. One popular resource, CT’s “Young Worker Safety Curriculum,” is a user friendly toolkit that includes workplace safety and child labor law resource information, links to health and safety websites, and provides students an opportunity to participate in important conversations about workplace hazards through role play scenarios. Currently, the Team is working with the State Department of Education on integrating this curriculum at the local level into classroom lessons to promote workplace health and safety for teens and to prepare them for workplace learning experiences such as internships and apprenticeships as well as summer jobs and – eventually - careers.

Duties include overall coordination of Division publicity initiatives. The mission of the American Chemical Society Small Chemical Businesses Division is to aid in the formation, development, and growth of small chemical businesses.2012-Organized and presided over three half day sessions of ACS Division of Small Chemical Businesses Programming at the 38th Northeastern Regional Meeting NERM in Rochester, NY.2013- Organized and presided over two FULL day sessions of ACS Division of Small Chemical Businesses Programming with a dedicated 'small chem biz' program track at the Northeast Regional Meeting NERM 2013 in New Haven. CT.2015-Co-organized and presided over two full days of society and science communication symposia as well as one poster session at the Pacifichem Congress in Honolulu, HI as a representative of the ACS Division of Small Chemical Businesses. 2016-Co-organized two half days of small chemical business programming as the representative from the ACS Division of Small Chemical Business together with a host section member at the Northeast Regional Meeting NERM 2016 in Binghamton, NY.

Teen Workplace Health and Safety Committee's Mission: Empower young workers to promote a culture of health and safety through education and the practice of health and safety fundamentals.This FULL committee began as a task force which Jennifer founded. Jennifer was the first Chair of this committee.

Calling all Centervillians! The Centerville Civic Association is responsible for the Forth of July Parade/children's field day activities, the strawberry social during Old Home Week, the Centerville Christmas Stroll (Sunday December 13, 2009), The Families in Need Program, and the Memorial Day Pancake Breakfast. The CCA acts as a liason between the village of Centerville and the town of Barnstable on issues that impact ALL residents of Centerville. Individual Memberships are $10.00, family is $15.00 and business is $20.00. To more completely meet the informational and professional development needs of our members and meeting attendees, ACS established the Multidisciplinary Program Planning Group (MPPG) to coordinate national meeting programming that emphasizes current critical scientific areas, particularly those with a multidisciplinary nature. MPPG has two subcommittees:Thematic Programming SubcommitteeCommunications & Outreach SubcommitteeMPPG's goal is to select themes according to a timeline that will give sufficient lead time to the divisions to plan compelling, relevant programming. Members of MPPG will identify and select theme organizers who have substantial prominence in the thematic field and skill in organizing high-level scientific symposia.

The mission of the Exhibitor Advisory Council for Marketing is to review and discuss Pittcon-related marketing opportunities and advise the Pittcon Committee on short-and long-term marketing initiatives that impact Pittcon success, Conferee value, and Exhibitor ROI.The EACFM consists of a working committee of 13 marketing professionals representing exhibitors of all sizes. Members serve limited tenure to ensure the continuity of programs from year to year and allow other exhibitors to participate in the future. The Council, in a collaborative effort with the Pittcon Committee, focuses on addressing short and long term marketing challenges serving to increase exhibitor ROI and conferee value. The inaugural meeting was held in May 2005 and continues to meet several times a year.

Raising awareness about chemistry, sustainability and green chemistry.

The Centerville Historical Museum, founded in 1952, is dedicated to preserving and sharing the history of Centerville and Cape Cod. The fourteen-room museum includes an 1840 house and contains an outstanding collection of historic costumes, maritime and military artifacts, quilts, Crowell birds, 18th and 19th century decorative arts, paintings, tools, and children's toys and dolls. The museum provides ongoing programs for all ages.
