Reviewed legislative, rule, budget and other policy materials related to mental health activities in North Carolina. Provided verbal and written information on mental health policy issues. Coordinated volunteer activities for MHA-NC state office, including interviewing and training.Worked with and led a variety of coalitions. Developed and maintained Parity Information Network, an email service distributing parity alerts and updates. Maintained Cyber-Advocacy website using CapWiz.

Managed information and referral service connecting individuals to emergency food and nutrition resources, Food Stamps, WIC, Medicaid, Child Health Care, and other benefits programs. Managed staff, program operations and database. Program is now part of 211 system in Milwaukee. In addition, served as on call/overnight/weekend staff to Helpline as needed.

Responsible for short-term counseling of callers from the Southeastern Wisconsin community. Provided information on mental health, domestic violence, suicide, drug identification, and health issues. Referred callers to other community organizations.Served on the Interview and Training Committees responsible for screening, interviewing, training and assessing performance of new volunteers.
