My name is Jennifer McDevitt and I am a senior at the University of Oregon. I'm double majoring in public relations and communication from the School of Journalism and will be graduating in June, 2014. I am an open-minded and passionate worker with an enthusiasm for leadership. Additionally, I have a knack for strategic planning and visionary ideas.I have worked with non-profits and organizations to execute events that have reached out to thousands of people. I am looking toward a career where my communication, organizational and problem solving skills can be exposed.I grew at a professional level through a position withFraternity and Sorority Life. I was the VP of Programming where I executed events for the members and worked with many people in a hands-on and fast paced work environment.Last term, I worked with the Medford Fire-Rescue out of Medford, Oregon to execute a strategic communication plan for the department to be able to successfully communicate with their community. I excelled in the creative thinking aspects of the projects by thinking of what would work for the client and how they could make their city understanding and supportive.I am looking to focus my career in the public relations or event coordinating field.
