I worked as a Patient Services Coordinator in Charleston, SC. In that role, I led 2 clinics and 2 support groups for patients with muscular dystrophy. I also led a kids camp in the summer for kids with muscular dystrophy. In addition, I was a fund raiser, and did some P.R. work to make sure our events had publicity that was needed. When I moved to Atlanta, I focused primarily on fundraising. I really enjoyed my work with MDA and feel like working their taught me a lot, and enabled me to wear lots of hats right out of college. MDA is a very structured, and well run organization.
