Jen directs a vibrant children's and family wellness program in Washington DC. Jen is an international board certified lactation consultant (IBCLC), a Yoga Alliance® Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RTY 200) and Registered Children's Yoga Teacher (RCTY), a certified educator of infant massage (CEIM), and certified Baby Signing Time instructor. She founded Breathing Space Family Yoga to share her enthusiasm for age- create hub for family yoga on Capitol Hill. She has since expanded Breathing Space to the greater DC metro area and to incorporate multiple wellness and family support modalities. Like so many, Jen first came to the yoga mat because of an injury, seeking nothing more than to feel better and balance her body for running. She comes back to the mat because yoga invites her to embrace her body and mind with all its imperfections and then to look beyond them to the greater Self. Jen brings a sense of joy and playfulness to her classes - both the adult and kids classes - and hopes to offer her students freedom she finds in yoga.Before focusing on yoga and family wellness, Jennifer Mueller spent nearly a decade working as an advocacy communications and media relations professional working on environmental and food and water safety issues, much of it on national policy in Washington DC. She has master’s degree in environmental policy from the University of Maryland and an undergraduate degree in environmental science from the University of Massachusetts. Jen specializes in making complicated policy issues accessible to and compelling for the average person.
