County Representative
CurrentAs an Environmental Safeguard representative of the County Government of Nyeri to Fauna & Flora International, I serve as the primary liaison between the two organizations, fostering collaboration and ensuring alignment on environmental conservation initiatives along North Ewaso Nyiro ecosystem. My role involves overseeing and implementing environmental safeguard policies, conducting environmental impact assessments, and developing mitigation strategies to protect biodiversity in semi arid Nyeri and North Ewaso Nyiro Region. I coordinate with stakeholders, including local communities, government agencies, and NGOs, to promote sustainable development and conservation efforts. Additionally, I monitor and report on project progress, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and organisational goals, while advocating for the adoption of best practices in environmental management within the county.
