Hi there!I’m Jennifer Nova. I am an artist and technology student. I enjoy creative tasks and thinking outside the box, as an artist I am always looking for new ways to approach problems I encounter. I have found both art and technology important as the right and left brain are both vital in the world of obscurity!As a Year Up student, I studied IT and attended an internship at NWN Corporation. Prior to beginning this role, I took part in training courses where I learned phishing techniques and things to watch out for in order to protect a user's identity. While at NWN I was directed to answer customer questions and concerns, troubleshoot their devices, and assist insurance agents with account unlocks and password resets. Learning this process was very important, as security is vital in the technological world in order to protect important personal information. Prior to this opportunity, I had multiple jobs in retail and customer service, but only one, in particular, stood out to me. This was due to my ability to grow and expand my knowledge more on business and technology. This happened to be at an inventory company (RGIS). I was fortunately given the opportunity to become a supervisor where I was in charge of store inventories such as Converse, Banana Republic, All Saints, Lulu Lemon, and many other well-known stores. This job taught me how important memorization and precision are when it comes to technology as I was in charge of keeping track of company stock numbers as well as sales. It also allowed me to lead with my attentiveness, challenged my problem-solving skills, and expanded my determination when encountering difficult tasks. I am hoping to further my knowledge in tech and business in order to fit in with the professional community.
