The Hope Institute for Children and Families is a nonprofit center providing educational, residential and health services to children with developmental disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorders. I provide support to families seeking services from the Hope Family Center and The Hope Institute, conduct research and data analysis to help build and maintain quality family based programs within The Hope Institute, and provide direct program support to the Vocational Skills Development Program, Dental Clinic and The Autism Program of Illinois.

Directly involved in the implementation and ongoing program management of multiple programs within the Bureau of Managed Care, most notably Illinois Health Connect and the Integrated Care Program (ICP); creation of reports and report analysis; participating in the procurement process by writing contracts, contract amendments and Request for Proposals (RFP) for the State of Illinois; involvement in the evaluation of national, state, and local trends in healthcare and healthcare management; communicating with executive level HFS staff, other State of Illinois Departments, corporate executives, and other provider professional organizations; researching multiple areas of government including but not limited to state laws and regulations, Medicaid and Medicare eligibility, and Care Coordination Programs and Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs) that may be implemented to advance the health status of patients while still controlling the rising healthcare costs

Including but not limited to providing direct program support for the Your Healthcare Plus (YHP) disease management program; assisting with ongoing YHP program initiatives and program evaluations; participating in discussions concerning YHP program design, direction, an effectiveness; assisting with other programs within the Bureau of Managed Care, most notably Illinois Health Connect and Integrated Care Program (ICP); performing baseline testing of quality performance measures for the new Integrated Care Program; participating in and analyzing the Children’s Health Insurance Program Reauthorization Act Demonstration Grant (CHIPRA quality grant) for the state of Illinois; utilizing the Medical Data Warehouse database and Business Objects reporting to perform data analysis projects for programs within the Bureau of Managed Care; creation of reports and report analysis; assisting in the procurement process by writing both contract amendments and Request for Proposals (RFP) for the State of Illinois; involvement in the evaluation of national, state, and local trends in healthcare and healthcare management; communicating with executive level HFS staff, other State of Illinois Departments, corporate executives, and other provider professional organizations; researching multiple areas of government including but not limited to state laws and regulations, Medicaid and Medicare eligibility, and Care Coordination Programs and Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs) that may be implemented to advance the health status of patients while still controlling the rising healthcare costs

Including but not limited to participating in the development, coordination and implementation of monitoring and successful management of multi center clinical trials research conducted by national and local principal investigators at Prairie Education and Research Cooperative; Conducting monitoring visits to assure the integrity of clinical data with respect to accuracy, accountability, documentation, and methods or procedures through review of CRFS, source documents, medical records, and regulatory documents; participating in the development of protocols, informed consent forms, case report forms (CRF) and instructions, site selection materials, procedure/in service manuals, project newsletter, project specific standard operating procedures, and other monitoring tools for the clinical trial; Facilitating communication with Project Manager and PERC multi-center team.

Including but not limited to performing a variety of duties involved in the organization, documentation, and compilation of clinical research data and protocols for sponsors, participating sites and the FDA; Performing data analysis, Literature Review/Research; clinical trial protocol development; Scientific publication; Attendance at National Meetings; Assist in writing abstracts, review articles, clinical trial protocols, grants, standard operating procedures; Assist in the creation and delivery of presentations that convey the results of clinical research projects/data to healthcare professionals at major national and international conferences; Assure that presentations are legible and that data are presented in a professional and understandable way; Observing live cases in the Cath Lab; Facilitating communication with the Director/COO and Medical Director; Perform other tasks and responsibilities as directed by the Director/COO and/or Medical Director.

Including but not limited to performing laboratory tests on strength and other physical properties of asphalt, cement, and fly ash samples.

Including but not limited to performing various aspects of highway safety research projects and other special projects within the department.
