Having a work/life balance is a goal most professionals have, and I’m no exception. My idea of balance just might look a little different. When I’m at work, I’m structured and focused on planning, details, logistics, and doing everything I can to make sure our guests walk away with an unforgettable experience. On the flip side, when I’m out of the office, I’m adventurous, creative and spontaneous. Honoring those two different sides is what provides the balance. My primary role as Event Marketing Manager is to handle program logistics for Delta Faucet Company. For instance, when small groups like architects and designers attend educational events, I manage the details. This includes arranging flights and transportation, activities, meals and more. I am responsible for the overall customer experience, providing perspective on our brands, products and innovations, and giving our guests a positive and lasting impression.Connecting with people and building relationships is also a key part of my job and it comes naturally, given our corporate culture that fosters wellness, collaboration, values and leadership. Regardless of position or role, people are open to each other and genuinely interested in exchanging ideas. This same attitude extends to our customers. And after an event, when a guest goes out of their way to give me positive feedback, it’s the best feeling in the world In my personal life, I’m more impromptu and enjoy spending time with my family. My biggest passion is snowboarding, but I also love to skydive, skate board, kick box, adventure race, climb and keep active and fit. Because of my art background, I try to make time for my creative side too, which could be drawing, painting or interior design. I’ve always believed that if you treat people equally and with kindness, it’ll come back to you in some fashion. And if you approach life with less worry and stress, you’ll learn valuable lessons, and good things will come your way.
