● Owner’s representative/Inspector for construction of the Harold, Tacoma, Johnson Creek LRT, Johnson Creek Pedestrian and Bybee Bridges, Crystal Springs Culvert, the Bybee Terraces, as well as approximately 8000 lineal feet of MSE, CIP and segmental block retaining walls. ● Duties included structure inspection, ensuring proper materials testing, providing additional Field Order and Clarification details and working with the contractor to resolve issues and conflicts. ● Daily fieldwork throughout the year included occasional weekend and night shifts for girder setting along Highway 99 and precast tub setting in UPRR right-of-way.● Underwent fall protection training and enclosed space training prior to climbing ladders up to ~30 feet, wearing a fall protection harness for inspection from manlifts, walking on precast girders prior to deck forming, and inspecting tops of drilled shafts in casings below grade.● Worked with contractors to ensure compliance with in-water work windows, wetland delineation and maintenance of erosion control measures. ● Construction support, including review of submittals and responding to RFIs. ● Oversaw CSL testing of drilled shafts and reviewed reported results. ● Worked with contractors and the Union Pacific Railroad’s on-site Engineer-In-Charge to ensure continuing construction in compliance with UP Road Worker Protection policies. ● Alerted supervisors when items found in excavations were potential triggers for archaeological exploration.● Engineer of Record for the Harold Bridge OC and Crystal Springs Culvert.● Reviewer for consultant-designed bridges and walls.
