Charity Navigator helps guide intelligent giving by evaluating the Financial Health, Accountability and Transparency of over 9,000 charities and by disclosing basic information on the remainder of the 1.7 million U.S. nonprofits.I was promoted to lead the development of a new, universally eligible monitoring and evaluation survey assessing over 200,000 organizations on their ability to monitor outcomes, evaluate change, and use data to improve their programmatic impact.I collaborate across a team of 5 with 1 direct report to produce weekly evaluation ratings to nonprofit partners and oversee the strategic development of our Impact Beacons Program.My team has been able to achieve a number of process improvement milestones which have reduced production time and increased visibility.

After the pandemic required me to come back to the United States, I joined Charity Navigator to generate impact ratings at scale for nonprofit organizations by developing specific algorithms to assess programmatic impact across cause areas, specifically conservation and animal welfare programs. I oversaw data submissions, analyzed large data sets, performed quality assurance checks, and developed ratings.I helped to standardize our processes and bolster outreach which led to my promotion to Program Manager.

IFAW explores new ways to improve conditions for animals, people, and the place we call home—and we’ve been leading the way for over 50 years.I started as an intern and was quickly promoted to a Strategist where I analyzed project development opportunities for the tenBoma counter poaching and illicit trafficking campaign in Kenya and Tanzania. I identified potential projects addressing human and wildlife conflict, developed project evaluation systems and processes, created reporting, and analyzed cross-sector partnerships. I also assisted with grant writing and proposals.I helped to pioneer our income generating activities, initiated projects, and streamlined communication strategies to improve outreach and overall project and program successes.

Fauna Forever (FF) is a nonprofit organization managing a series of monitoring, training and conservation projects in the Amazon rainforest region of Madre de Dios, in southeastern Peru.I did this internship during my master’s program and assisted in biodiversity research program by providing support in data gathering on species density and richness.I also consulted with our Mammal Coordinator offering managerial improvements to volunteer program and camp logistics.
