Dr. Jennifer Purcell is a professor, higher education leader, consultant, and coach. She is currently serving a second term as the State Chair for the American Council on Education (ACE) Women’s Network and has over 20 years of experience in public and private higher education within Georgia, having earned tenure and promotion to full professor and holding administrative appointments in academic affairs, student affairs, and enrollment management. Purcell is a leadership scholar whose research and practice explores leadership capacity building in organizational and community contexts. Her areas of interest and expertise include: Women in Leadership; Organization Learning and Development; Leading Change; and Action Research.In addition to Purcell’s contributions with the ACE Women’s Network and the Georgia Association for Women in Higher Education (GAWHE), she is a Cobb Chamber of Commerce Honorary Commander Alumni, Leadership Bartow Alumni, KSU Faculty Senate Past-President, Journal of Community Engaged Scholarship Editorial Board Member, Journal of Higher Education Outreach and Engagement Guest Editor and former Associate Editor, Founding Member of the Engagement Scholarship Consortium (ESC) Professional Development Committee, Past-Chair of the Emerging Engagement Scholars Workshop, Past-Chair of the ESC Marketing and Communications Committee, and former Board Member for the International Association for Service-Learning and Community Engagement. Purcell holds a Doctorate in Adult Education, Master of Public Administration, Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, and Graduate Certificate in Organization and Leadership Coaching (UGA) and is a GODR Registered Neutral.  Purcell resides in Cobb County with her husband, Matthew Purcell, Esq., and their son.
