Chief Strategy OfficerAutism Society Of America Aug 2013 - Dec 2015Rockville, Md, UsI was part of three-person executive team; my responsibilities included setting the strategic direction for the national office and our network of 100+ local affiliates. I introduced a new business model to ensure network-wide provision of effective education, systemic advocacy and services that increased affiliate capacity to meet the needs of their communities. We set minimum organizational standards, developed core services and introduced key organizational elements (good business practices in the areas of communications/marketing, financial stability, infra-structure and program delivery). I put a great deal of focus on improved communication to enhance outcomes, reduce duplication of effort and organizational expenses. For the organizations 50th Anniversary, we created marketing and communications strategies to re-position, manage and increase awareness of a consistent network-wide brand. In addition to introduction of a new logo and branding materials, we introduced 2 social media campaigns " Heart of Gold" and the "UniquelyYou" campaign which brought 5,097 new Facebook followers and obtained 3.2M impressions and a total reach of 1.3M.I was responsible for the National Conference and Exhibition, and used marketing principles and strong affiliate engagement to:• Increase conference attendance by 10% in 2014 and 2015• Exceed revenue projections by 12% in 2014 • Increase exhibition booth sales by 10% in 2015I led team of 18 professionals across multiple functional areas. I held positions with progressive responsibility including direct oversight of core service implementation, National Contact Center, federal advocacy/public policy, publications, and organizational communications.
