I am a third year dental student at Griffith University, who is dedicated and strives for excellence in everything that I do. I am eager to learn, willing to participate in new opportunities, and excited for a career as a healthcare professional, as I want help improve others' quality of life. I became interested in dentistry from a young age, since thin enamel and a love of all things sweet had me frequently visiting the dentist. Additionally, when my large permanent front "rabbit" teeth complete with a gap erupted, I became self-conscious and desperately wanting braces. Being a regular at the dental clinic, my dentist was personable, relatable, and compassionate towards my insecurity, inspiring me to follow in the same career path. Wanting to work in a creative and service-based industry, I briefly worked in the marketing and advertising world. However, I quickly realized that I wanted to help people and make a positive impact in the lives of others.Through my university career and various jobs, I have had the opportunity to work on time management, communication, and working with a team.TIME MANAGEMENT AND ORGANIZATION ⬩ Excellent time management skills developed throughout employment and studies ⬩ Always strive to finish projects within the scope and time frame ⬩ Takes pride in self-presentation and appearancesCOMMUNICATION: ⬩ Verbal and non-verbal skills developed from years of client service and group projects ⬩ Effective listener, understanding and empathizing with others ⬩ Confident in communicating and portraying emotions, personally and professionally TEAMWORK ⬩ Team cooperation in a team, as both a leader and member, able to fulfil my assigned roles ⬩ Contributing and presenting ideas within group discussions and to clients ⬩ Working with a wide range of people of different ages, genders, races and positions ⬩ Ability to give and receive constructive criticism and feedback
