Lourdes University is a private Catholic and Franciscan university that offers graduate and undergraduate programs. Lourdes is known for small class sizes and personal attention. I am currently teaching as an adjunct professor in the revived Master of Organizational Leadership program. In the past I taught courses as an adjunct focusing on professional writing and digital and media studies. Teaching small graduate Leadership courses in a completely-online, asynchronous environment. Recently updated the Ethics and Social Justice course to more closely tie in the activist work of the Adrian Dominican Sisters and incorporate more Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) content.

NACS is the leading trade association for the higher education retail market. As a learning designer and education consultant, I advised and supported the reinvention of the NACS Education program, including developing strategic goals, selecting and implementing a Learning Management System (LMS), choosing a content development platform, and developing learning assets to educate campus retail staff. I also represented NACS at events including the Campus Expo (CAMEX), the Textbook Affordability Conference (TAC), and multiple state and regional meetings.

Root is a management consulting company that helps Fortune 500 companies to successfully drive change in their organizations. As a Learning Designer, my role was to create discovery-based learning to complement Root Learning Map® experiences, including digital versions of those experiences. Some project highlights:• Led a diversity and inclusion project for a communications company that used film and animation to build empathy.• Helped a large national bank train staff for a virtual workshop in WebEx Training Center that will be rolled out to more than 2,000 people across multiple regions. • Developed an on boarding program for a regional airline that helped participants understand the challenges and motivations of those in other roles so they could more effectively support each other.• Created an innovation course using Articulate Rise and Storyline for one of the largest fast food chains in the U.S.

In addition to providing public radio and television to Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan, WGTE also provides professional development for PreK-12 teachers. As an instructional designer with the Educational Resource Center, I designed and delivered professional development workshops for Ohio educators on a variety of technology-related topics and developed relationships with grant partners and school personnel. Highlights:• Researched and developed grant applications, including a grant awarded to the station to promote The Great American Read, a nationwide initiative by PBS. One of our partners, Way Public Library, was awarded a related grant from the American Library Association.• Increased engagement on the WGTE Education Resource Center Facebook page by more than 2000%. • Doubled participation in the Share A Story contest through outreach and social media.

Owens Corning develops roofing, insulation, and is the world's largest producer of fiberglass composites. I held multiple contract assignments with Owens Corning based at their World Headquarters in downtown Toledo. Highlights: • Managed training projects for two of the three core businesses that involved instructor-led training and online learning to increase the technical knowledge of the sales team to drive increased revenue. • Worked with subject-matter experts to develop eLearning modules using Articulate Storyline 2 and Articulate Studio. I was also responsible for project management, communication, change management, event planning, assessment data collection and analysis. These businesses saw increases in revenue during the period following the training. • Redesigned the Success Factors Learning Administrator certification process to incorporate self-paced simulations, task-based job aids, and microlearning. Eliminated the need for instructor-led training and manual grading of exercises, saving time for the Learning and Development team and increasing the proficiency of the learning administrators. • Designed an online safety presentation and deployed workplace violence prevention content to increase awareness of workplace dangers and compliance with best practices to maintain employee safety.

National Institute for Technology in Liberal Education (NITLE) was a non-profit whose mission was to help small liberal arts colleges use technology effectively in the classroom, including social media. The institute closed in 2018. My role was to plan and present professional and faculty development conferences and workshops on technology and its use for supporting educational goals, research and develop new program ideas, and develop relationships with faculty and staff at member schools to increase engagement with NITLE activities. The Institute for Child and Family Policy was a faculty-led initiative designed to educate state and local legislators. The BG@100 Project was the name for BGSU’s Oracle PeopleSoft implementation. I participated in the project before, during, and after the rollout of PeopleSoft's Human Resources and Financial Tools to help develop training plans and tools for all users of the system.• Designed and implemented training plans for all academic computing users on campus of approximately 25,000 people.• Developed and led dozens of training courses for information technology staff, functional offices, and end users to orient them to the new academic database system, including courses on new tools like PeopleSoft Query and Crystal Reports• Created computer-based training modules using a User Productivity Kit, a PeopleSoft product. Wrote documentation of procedures and business processes and published to the BGSU web• Led open forums and other community discussions of the project to drive successful change management

As an applications administrator for BGSU's centralized information technology services department, I managed the university-wide electronic mail system, administered email applications, and provided training, documentation, and user support. • Led a project to select a new email system and migrate user accounts. • Worked with system administrators and vendors to troubleshoot implementation problems.•  Managed the account creation and deletion processes. • Coordinated efforts to plan system upgrades and patches. • Developed training and documentation plan and led train-the-trainer sessions. • Represented the department on university-level committees, including a Program Review Committee, the Bowen-Thompson Student Union committee, and multiple search committees.
