Helped to plan, write content for and launch a Crowd Funding campaign.

I assisted in creating a PR and communication strategy for Shape of Things, a fun, edgy and innovative childrenswear company in Glasgow. I was officially on an Internship for the month of April as part of my MSc, I decided to remain in an advisory role in order to finish some initiatives and oversee award nominations. We were shortlisted for 3 Glasgow Business Awards and were a finalist for the Drapers Awards. I also provided assistance and support in implementing the communications strategy.

Boutique beauty agency, based in Paris, providing make up and hair styling services for bridal and editorial clients. I recruited makeup artists in Paris, Venice and Rome with skills to suit target customers and launched a marketing strategy focusing on digital and print advertising through forums, directories, Google, SEO and in local and international press (Expat and bridal publications). I also developed working relationships with photographers and wedding planners to accelerate business. The Hosiery department had a turnover of £22m per annum and I managed a team of 2 assistants and reported to the Merchandise Manager. I was able to reduce residual stock by 7% whilst achieving growth in sales of 3% v LYR. Cover was reduced by 4 wks. to an average of 8.8 wks. and markdown was 8% of sales against a budget of 12%. I was responsible for maintaining and managing stock levels in 55 stores in the UK and 5 in the USA whilst meeting budgets set for sales, mark down, availability and stock. I also worked closely with the E-Commerce team to increase sales online and improve availability.

Supported the Merchandiser in preparing daily, weekly and monthly reports, preparing transfer notes for executing stock transfers, raised purchase orders and monitored stock delivery from source to warehouse and out to stores to ensure a timely delivery and stock availability. Supported the Merchandiser and Buyer in range planning and selecting and purchasing merchandise inclusive of timing, delivery, size. Worked closely with retail to support logical requests as involving merchandises.
