About Jennifer Bruno

Hi, I’m Jennifer. I guide change-makers to remember and radically reclaim the power of their being. As a Colombian-born adoptee raised by Jewish-Italian parents in a racially homogeneous suburb, I always felt like an outsider, observing the world and navigating my place in it. I’ve dedicated my life and my career to understanding community, corporate, and geopolitical systems and the truths of our shared human experience. I’ve collected teachings, practices, and tools to live and lead from my purpose, presence, and power. And from my heart, I offer them to you.My work guides people to reclaim their inner wisdom and reconnect to their most powerful selves so they can create the change they desire for themselves, their communities, and the world. Together, we give breath to the ideas and experiences that have been silenced by the dominant paradigm, yet are the very things needed to transcend it.I integrate wisdom inspired by the human potential movement—Gestalt, Processwork, the Enneagram, yoga, mindfulness meditation, breath work, transpersonal psychology, neuroscience, nutrition and herbalism—to customize a program for you.Not everyone’s up for it, but if you are, I will partner with you to dream big, tear down, and build up, consciously. You already have everything you need to accept this challenge. It’s time to lead from your unique vision and purpose, overcome fear, and create meaningful change. The world needs you. Let’s go.–I spent 25 years as a strategic change advisor to 40+ Fortune 500s, government agencies, and nonprofits. I graduated from NYU’s Stern School of Business and have a Masters in International Affairs from Columbia’s School of International + Public Affairs. I hold countless certifications in the fields of coaching, yoga, and mindfulness practices. I invest intentionally in my personal growth, continuously honing my craft. I speak, write, and teach about human development, emergence and innovation in organizations, and how to apply ancient wisdom to modern challenges.Today, I live in Taos, NM on the ancestral, traditional, and contemporary lands of the Taos Pueblo, Ute, Lipan Apache, and Tiwa people. I am a Co-Founder of Chiefable, a leadership and organizational development firm building the next generation of conscious leaders for a changing world. Through private practice, I partner with clients who choose to make a personal investment in their development.

Partner | Ceo Impact Accelerator

Los Angeles, Ca, Us

I joined Korn Ferry’s CEO Impact Accelerator to advise and coach new CEOs to accelerate their self, team, and enterprise impact. Within three months (plus cross-country move and first mortgage), my position was eliminated, inspiring my creative leap to entrepreneurship. During my brief tenure, I designed bespoke individual CEO onboarding programs to support executives new-in-role to align people to business strategy, develop their top team, manage key stakeholder relationships, and develop personally and professionally. Additionally, I became certified in Korn Ferry’s CEO Succession approach and Leadership Architect (KFLA).

Chief Of Staff | Product Innovation + Development

Miami, Florida, Us

The COVID-19 pandemic brought the cruise industry to an abrupt halt and extended period of uncertainty. My boss, and the company’s Chief Digital Officer was promoted to Chief Innovation Officer, taking on additional scope of product development for the brand’s ships and private destinations, while representing the company to the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and international public health authorities to negotiate our 50+ ships’ healthy return to operations. We repurposed my role from a focus on digital, to leading change for return to service, and serving in a Chief of Staff capacity, leading the day-to-day operations for the Digital and Product Development departments. In this role, I acted as trusted advisor and confidant to my boss, and partnered with his leadership team to shape, prioritize, and execute departmental strategy, culture, operating model, organizational design, policies and procedures, and team effectiveness. I led departmental change implementations related to new policies and procedures, leadership transitions, and organizational changes. Having become known for building bridges between previously siloed groups, I was invited to design and facilitate cross-brand/-departmental executive workshops. I facilitated the polarity between disruptive innovation and operational consistency and supported leaders’ capability to lead disruptive transformation with results and grace.

Director | Enterprise Transformation

Miami, Florida, Us

At the request of the CHRO and Chief Digital Officer, I transitioned into this role to design, build, and lead a business transformation function to support flawless execution of corporate strategy across five brands, 50+ ships, 98 business units, and with 70K employees, land and sea.My first priority was to design and lead change management for a multi-year, enterprise-wide digital transformation to reimagine the guest and employee experiences and introduce 30+ new digital experiences. I sourced, developed, and led a 25-30 person team with expertise in strategy, program management, process, change management, marketing, communications, and design. Together, we designed and led change management for a multi-year, enterprise-wide digital transformation to reimagine the guest and employee experiences and introduce 30+ new digital products. We partnered with the land-based executive and sea-based operational teams to integrate new technology across the end-to-end operations, while minimizing disruption to the Guest vacation and employee experiences. When COVID-19 halted capital investment, I Initiated and led a structured change management approach throughout the company’s COVID-19 response, fostering sustainable partnerships across teams that had historically worked in silos.

Director | Talent Management

Miami, Florida, Us

Designed and implemented talent management strategies, shoreside and shipboard, without net new budget, outdated HR technology, and nascent talent maturity and infrastructure. During this time, I led a redesign and implementation of performance management and corporate succession management for VPs and above. As a result, we shifted from annual evaluations to quarterly developmental conversations and identified next generation leaders and development and internal mobility plans. I served as internal thought leader and advisor on talent practices to senior business leaders, HRBPs, and COEs and advised on the design, implementation, and adoption of talent strategies and initiatives.

Program Manager | Principles

Westport, Connecticut, Us

As an organizational culture nerd, I was intrigued by Bridgewater’s experiential culture of radical truth and transparency, two values I hold dear. For one year, I designed and ran a program management office to oversee Founder and Chairman, Ray Dalio’s portfolio of digital products addressing the intersection of talent, culture, and data. The real learning was practicing Bridgewater’s 225+ principles at their source - with Ray and the team writing the book and building the tools. It was a year of overcoming perfectionism through 24/7 360-degree, publicly available feedback on my performance, and learning to regulate my nervous system in the face of persistent criticism. My experience at Bridgewater was life-changing and would have been more easeful, and even more meaningful with the support of a coach. This realization was part of my inspiration for becoming a certified executive coach.

Management Consultant | Organizational Transformation

Worldwide, Oo

I joined Deloitte as its first Human Capital intern. The HC industry was nascent, focusing on people was seen as “soft” and not business-like. Alongside passionate visionaries, we linked strategy to people, articulated the market needs and opportunities, shaped service offerings, and created space for a new human capital consulting market. We set the foundation for the practice to grow into the largest and top-ranked human capital consultancy and shape the industry overall. Over eighteen years (10 of tenure), I partnered with senior executives across multiple industries (financial services, consumer products, healthcare, national defense + intelligence) on their most important strategic business initiatives. Having experienced Deloitte’s HC practice from start-up to full maturity, I built and delivered holistic end-to-end solutions including strategic change, culture, operating model and organizational design, people strategy, and competency-based talent management processes and programs, including diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. I built, developed, and led diverse teams - inclusive of goal-setting, performance management, executing a profitable staffing model, and providing ongoing coaching and mentoring. I was a recognized people-developer, team-builder, and the go-to for talent and project turnarounds.Highlights:* Facilitated analytics-driven people strategy development and implementation (part of a CEO-driven strategic planning effort) for a $9B, 40K employee professional services company.* Advised HR leadership of national intelligence agency to execute an integrated talent management framework; led a ten-person team and served as primary point of contact for six client counterparts to launch HR strategy development, create, integrate, and deploy new talent processes and programs, and stand up an executive talent governance board.* Led an organizational assessment of federal agency’s DEI maturity; advised clients on data-driven strategy.

Volunteer | Youth Entrepreneurship + Leadership Development

Washington, District Of Columbia, Us

My inner anthropologist dreamed of joining the Peace Corps since my childhood. I wanted to fully immerse myself into a new community and culture and hone my cultural adaptation skills. My work focused on the design and implementation of post-conflict development projects (education, public health, entrepreneurship) aimed to restore the social fabric destroyed by massacres during Guatemala’s civil war (1960-1996). My field experience taught me to navigate the unfamiliar, experience and impact a community’s core strengths and challenges firsthand, and build trusted cross-cultural personal and professional relationships.
