Work with Principal Investigator (PI) [Dr. S. Sapra & Dr. J. Khanna] to oversee Phase I-IV clinical trials.Daily tasks include: ● Completing written informed consent & assent process with adults and adolescents.● Administering study medication (topical, oral, and biologics).● Withdrawal of blood from study patients (phlebotomy license).● Processing and shipping of laboratory samples to a centralized laboratory (IATA certified).● Creating new protocols with PI.● Study start-up of sponsor-led clinical trials, including SQV, SIV, IRB Submission, ISF maintenance, up-to-date delegation log, etc.● Work closely with PI and Sub-I to oversee all aspects of the study, focusing on subject safety and study data integrity.● Reviewing patient charts to establish eligibility. Completing in-person or phone consult/recruitment calls.● Receipt, monitoring, and administration of investigational product (IP)/investigational device.● Educating participants as required regarding treatment schedules. Retraining of participants when protocol deviation occurs (ie out of window visits, IP compliance, prohibited conmeds/treatments)● Review of conmeds, conprocedures, contherapies, and AEs. ● Managing full patient visits from screening to the end of the study. ● Experience with reporting SAEs.● Reviewing of patient lab reports with the PI. Creating AEs and completing lab retests as necessary.● Electronic data entry and answering queries.● Preparing Research Ethics Board submissions relative to the initiation and conduct of individual studies.● Ensuring appropriate regulations are adhered to in the conduct of research. ● Administering patient-reported outcomes/questionnaires via paper or electronic tablet.● Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with CRA/sponsor.● Working on several manuscripts focusing on improving patient care and updating Canadian treatment guidelines.
