Gaining Ground is a nonprofit organic farm in Concord, Massachusetts. We grow organic produce for hunger relief with help from volunteers of all ages and abilities, who work and learn in our fields. In short, we grow food and we give it away to people who need it. For free. This refreshingly simple approach lets us focus on meeting the needs of our volunteers and the people we help feed. These two aspects of our work are closely intertwined – one wouldn’t work without the other.

Founded in 1993 in collaboration with the MIT Media Lab, The Clubhouse Network is an international community of 100 Clubhouses in 19 countries providing youth with life-changing opportunities. Each Clubhouse provides a safe, free, and creative learning environment where youth from underserved communities can work with adult mentors to explore their own ideas and develop new skills through technology. In my development work with the organization, I work closely with the Executive Director and Board to set development objectives and strategies which raise funds to support programs for more than 25,000 youth annually.

I was responsible for leading fundraising programs and activities, including planning, individual giving, events, corporate and foundation giving, and donor relations. During my time at The Nature Connection development income increased 60%, the organization held its most successful special event fundraiser, and also received its largest foundation grant to-date.

Managed the organization's public relations, development and marketing programs. Created a social media program for the organization.

Managed and created marketing programs which helped to provide double-digit attendance growth at the Museum.

Implemented marketing initiatives to more than double site audience and traffic. Spearheaded the company's first print and online sales programs.
