Southeast Alaska Family Evaluation Child Advocacy Center (SAFE CAC)o Partner with local and federal law enforcement, child protection, prosecution, medical, mental health, and other involved agencies to ensure coordinated investigation and service provision. o Conduct specialized forensic interviews for child abuse investigations. Alaska Office of Children's Services (OCS), Department of Family and Community Serviceso Conducted staff and provider interviews to guide service planning and learn about available statewide resources, gaps, and needs. o Coordinated home-and-community-based services for children with developmental disabilities and complex medical needs as they waited for waiver services.o Developed requests for grant and contract proposals related to early childhood, parenting skill education, child abuse prevention, and peer support. Led ocean and glacial lake kayak excursions on weekends for groups of cruise ship tourists.

Raven’s Way (Yéil Jeeyáx)o Employed team building and knowledge of group dynamics to encourage youth to use positive coping skills and solution-oriented communication strategies to resolve conflict.o Taught Matrix Model classes, led activities, and met with youth 1:1 to review progress on treatment plan goals and when needing to apply de-escalation techniques.o Established rapport with primarily Alaska Native youth ages 12-19, working together to problem solve and stay on schedule in both residential, classroom, and wilderness settings. Youth had diverse backgrounds, coming from cities and villages all over the state and had varying levels of disability including trauma, FASD, and withdrawal from substance use.o Handled logistics and led five-day, year-round kayaking and backpacking expeditions. Responsibilities included predicting situations and exercising good judgment; remaining self-aware and calm during stressful situations; being efficient but also exercising patience; and teaching youth how to perform tasks and survive in a remote and harsh wilderness environment.o Maintained the health and well-being of youth by providing trauma-informed care; medical, emergency, crisis management; maintaining cultural awareness, and professional boundaries.

VA Eastern Colorado Health Care Systemo Managed clinical and regulatory responsibilities for all oncology trials at the Denver VA, serving as main point of contact for hospital, university and pharmaceutical representatives. o Navigated through barriers and regulations to open the VA's first industry Phase I/II trials.o Initiated process with neighboring general hospital to open research trials collaboratively, reducing administrative burden and timelines, and increasing available resources.

o Managed regulatory responsibilities for over sixty industry and investigator-initiated clinical oncology trials, developing strong organizational skills and ability to communicate effectively on technical and clinical topics.o Identified errors in research protocols that resulted in worldwide amendments. o Effectively transferred complex research protocols into regulatory submissions, achieving approval after first review and allowing patients timely access to treatment.o Wrote and negotiated twenty-plus page informed consent forms to make complex concepts understandable for patients.o Trained and mentored new staff.
