The Shinobi Group was a Dallas-based technology consulting firm focused at the intersection of brand, culture, and technology. The firm worked with Fortune 1000, start-up, SMB, and grant-funded clients nationwide – some with offices around the globe – in a variety of verticals and sectors, including telecommunications, technology, financial services, real estate, travel, community based non-profit organizations, small businesses, and grant-funded programs through the Department of Justice (DOJ), National Institute of Health (NIH), and National Science Foundation (NSF).Focused on digital and cultural transformation and organizational strategy, The Shinobi Group helped companies and organizations direct their technological and cultural investments to deliver the most value to their customers and stakeholders. The Shinobi Group was dedicated to a greater purpose as well: to do well in business, you must first do good. The Shinobi Group performed extensive pro bono work for organizations, grant-funded programs and non-profits focused on social justice and positive world change, with an emphasis in education, STEM, and empowering women in leadership. Additionally, we donated services and a portion of revenues to support TeacHaiti and the TeacHaiti School of Hope (in and around Port-au-Prince, Haiti) and other programs that educate children, sow hope and foster empowerment in the DFW Metroplex and around the world.

As the leader of Brand Editorial for GuideStone, Jennifer provided strategic leadership to the Brand Management function across the organization while delivering compelling, revenue-generating, brand-building content to drive GuideStone’s business goals forward. During her tenure in this role, much of her focus revolved around the rebranding and launch of GuideStone's award-winning personal and institutional investments division.

Working closely with a tight-knit team of sales, marketing, communications, brand and operations professionals, Jennifer was responsible for strategizing, building, launching and supporting GuideStone's Property and Casualty Program. In cooperation with Brotherhood Mutual Insurance Company, the team built a program that exceeded revenue targets within its first six months of relaunch. On a day-to-day basis, Jennifer was responsible for facilitating strategy, project managing, implementing and deploying all marketing, communications and sales support efforts the P&C division. Additionally, she was responsible for various editorial initiatives and duties — including internal and corporate communications.

As one of the primary guardians and influencers of GuideStone’s brand voice, Jennifer's everyday duties included, but were not limited to: providing strategic input and guidance on marketing and communication initiatives, supervising writing staff, editing all insurance or P&C communications, communication planning for enterprise-level projects, project management, internal and external communications across all channels and multiple audiences, editorial marketing, process improvement, policing and managing of writing and brand standards, etc.

Jennifer was the communications lead enterprise-wide, responsible for internal and external communications corporately and across the company's multiple teams, properties and newspapers. Most notably during her tenure, she drafted and drove the communication strategy for the company's Subscriber Content initiative, which led to the first successful paywall in a metro newspaper nationwide.Everyday duties included: communications strategy planning and deployment; engagement with executive leadership; relationship management with TDMN’s outside PR agency, including managing monthly retainer budgets, setting strategy, press releases and other PR points of contact, taking lead on crisis communications; maintain weekly sales communication channels; executive communications; communications across all seven publications; internal communications; project management.

Jennifer joined GuideStone, a non-profit financial services provider, immediately following the company's enterprise-wide rebranding initiative. The goal was to evolve into a stronger position in the financial services industry and move into new markets. Initially hired in a relatively limited role, Jennifer's role quickly developed into an important strategic agent to help advance organizational change. Her team’s efforts helped open new markets, lead the organization into new media and encouraged movement away from entrenched “that’s how we’ve always done it” attitudes. Everyday duties included: developing and managing communications strategies for enterprise-level process and product implementations, project management, directly supporting high-profile sales goals and developing client education initiatives. Responsible for developing content and brand messaging for both internal and external audiences, and across multiple channels.

WordBrand Services specialized in helping small businesses, non-profits and individuals craft effective marketing and communications strategies, plans and collateral. Targeted toward those with limited resources, budgets and/or experience, WordBrand served those who might not otherwise be able to take advantage of communications expertise. From strategic planning to crafting to execution, WordBrand focused on helping clients identify and maximize their communications opportunities to meet personal, growth and business goals.
