As the 'Jen'eral manager of our family venture, Layton's Chance Vineyard and Winery. I oversee the vision, operations, and the marketing side of the business. We also have an 1800 acre grain farm. The most important part of my business to me is my team. I strive everyday to make Layton's a better place to work. We continually work on improving ourselves and our processes so that we provide our customers with the best possible experience. Making us continually move toward our goal of becoming the can't miss attraction of the Eastern Shore!! I am truly blessed to have our Team Layton! They are a fantastic group of people that as Herb Brooks says, "When at work, they care more about the name on the front of their shirt than the one on the back." Another passion of mine is being an advocate for agriculture. What I love best about the farm is that it has opened my eyes to what it takes to feed the world. I knew nothing about farming prior to meeting my husband. Marrying into a farming family has opened my eyes to and created a huge appreciation for how hard farmers work everyday to provide food for the world with no guarantee from mother nature! What do I love best about the winery -WINE!!! Of course!!Overall for both the farm and winery what I love best is Team Layton!
