About Jennifer Woolf, Dvm
I am a small animal and shelter veterinarian with a Masters Degree in Veterinary Forensic Sciences. Over the years I have been employed as an associate veterinarian as well as a relief veterinarian, working with almost 50 different clinics and shelters in the San Francisco Bay Area, including emergency clinics, feline-only clinics, municipal shelters, and non-profit shelters. I have also been involved in several investigations in animal cruelty and neglect and have testified in court for this purpose. Currently I run a business educating and consulting on animal abuse, I work for Veterinary Information Network (VIN), and do shelter relief work. I am a former instructor in the University of Florida Veterinary Forensics Online Graduate Program. Prior to moving to the SF Bay Area, I was a small animal veterinarian in the Boston area. My interests are caring for the animals themselves, of course, but also in helping those who care for them or come into contact with them see the connection between animal cruelty and violence against people. It is all part of the concepts of The Link and of One Health, acknowledging the interplay between animals and people. Towards this end, I opened Woolf Veterinary Forensics Consulting, Inc. where our mission is to educate others on understanding, identifying, and investigating animal cruelty. I have lectured nationwide to veterinarians and their staff, animal and domestic violence shelter personnel, animal control officers, law enforcement, and attorneys and have published in veterinary journals articles about animal abuse. I look forward to continuing to fight animal cruelty and to improving our communities.
Listed skills include Veterinary Medicine, Dogs, Veterinary, Surgery, and 15 others.
