Community School Coordinator
CurrentA Community School Coordinator is responsible for leading and coordinating the community schools strategy in a school or district. Their primary goal is to build and sustain partnerships between the school, families, and the community to provide a comprehensive support system for students. My role includes the following:1. Building and maintaining partnerships with local organizations, businesses, and government agencies2. Identifying and assessing student and family needs3. Coordinating and delivering integrated student supports (e.g., health services, counseling, mentoring)4. Facilitating family engagement and empowerment programs5. Collaborating with school staff to align community resources with academic goals6. Managing budgets and resources7. Evaluating program effectiveness and making data-driven decisionsI serve as a liaison, connector, and advocate, working to:- Strengthen relationships between schools, families, and the community- Address systemic barriers and inequities- Foster a culture of collaboration and collective impact- Support the whole child, including their academic, social, emotional, and physical well-beingI help create a seamless web of support for students, families, and the community, ultimately contributing to improved student outcomes and stronger, more resilient communities.
