My responsibility is to ensure that a beginning of a new payroll customership is organised to happen smoothly and timely. I contact the customer to negotiate the schedule and the details of the future payroll process, ensure that all the needed payroll history data is received and establish the customership to our payroll program. After these steps I educate the customer to use his/hers end of the payroll program. I usually have many projects with different customers going on at the same time, so organisation skills are a must in this job.

I took care of payroll related tasks from the point when the data arrived at us to the point when the payment information was sent to the bank. This included making annual reports for the insurance companies and Tax Administration as well as keeping on track of the employees’ vacations and their holiday pays. I also took care of implementing the regulations and changes in the collective labor agreements and pay raises. Naturally I handled post, email and phone calls coming from the customers too.

I guided the customers in their daily banking situations (which include for example credit transfers, card applications, opening and closing accounts, consumer credits and helping the administrators of a deceased person’s estate). The encounters with the customers were mainly handled via telephone, but email and chat were also used to communicate with the customers. During the appointments I did my best to find out which services or products would give the customer added value and offered those to them in addition to the answers for their questions. I also did a bit of new customer acquisition in the B to B section and was a part of the the unit’s internal development work as a personnel representative.

I took care of the office’s daily duties and customer service. In addition, I searched for new co-operation partners and presented our operation model in different recruiting events. I was actively working with developing our processses and websites as well as increasing the use of social media in marketing.

I counted, reconciled and registered the cash statements by hand and with different equipments. I also participated to customer service and filing.

During this period I mostly have worked in a variety of grocery stores in versatile tasks. I also have taken care of the introduction of the new recruits.
