Strategic lead for all activity that falls within EDI, advice giving, advocacy, wellbeing, mental and physical health, student academic procedures, disciplinaries, sexual misconduct, sexual wellness, complaints, student housing, case handling policy and project delivery. I lead a talented staff team that thrive on team work and deliver exceptional outputs.

-Management of both Student Voice and Activities departments -Deputy Returning Officer for DSU 2019 Elections-Line management responsibility for 6 full time staff and 15+ student staff -Building and maintaining strong, efficient relationships with University departments such as DMU Sport-Delivering disciplinary action of any student committee members in line with DSU procedures-Responsible for budget allocation for the Activities Department, Voice Department, Demon Media and Governance.

-Providing students with independent and confidential advice on all matters including; Housing, Academic matters, Complaints, Financial hardship and Behavioural matters.- Provide advocacy for students at hearings, internal to the University as well as external (including court).- Liaising with University staff and external organisations such as debt collectors or landlords.- Issuing food-bank vouchers, condoms and minor sexual health advice for students. - Administering confidential case notes and statistics.- Project managing outreach activities and campaigns based on student trends. - Work with the Information and Advice Service Student volunteer team, ensuring they are comfortable and well equipped with the correct knowledge to succeed in their role.

- Managed relationships with charities across Nottingham to source volunteer opportunities- General volunteer recruitment and administration- Complete regular health and safety procedures, including risk assessments and due diligence checks- Co-created projects with a student Volunteer Committee and VP Activities - Managed Volunteering budget and allocated money from student applications for projects.

I secured a secondment to City University London SU, as an interim manager whilst they carried out permanent recruitment. I conducted a review of the service and identified and reported areas of risk. I conducted 121 appointments with students and attended University committees on behalf of the Union.
