About Jennifer Jiang

I am the Founder of Immigrant Buddies, a social impact startup organization that connects new immigrants with Buddies (mentors and friends) who help them adjust to life in America. We are currently running a manual program via www.immigrantbuddies.com, and we are developing a technology platform where immigrants and Buddies can connect- the prototype can be viewed at www.immigrantbuddies.com/product. As the Founder, I manage all aspects of the organization. I conceptualized and built our project from the ground up, recruiting all team members, immigrants, and Buddies. I lead a team of 10+ UX Designers, Developers, Marketers, and Business Operations to develop and socialize our upcoming web platform. I also run the current manual Buddy program- pairing new immigrants with Americans who want to support them. Additionally, I am a UX Designer by trade, creating user-centered applications through methodological research. I have a passion for creative problem-solving and devising intuitive, innovative solutions. My previous experience as a Product Manager allows me to understand a product’s strategy, processes, and business impact, while empathizing with users, customers, and stakeholders.
