The last few years have been filled with their fair share of challenges. As a Christ follower, wife, mom, Mimi, friend, mentor, coach, fighter, queen and leader, I’ve had to learn to balance the everyday demands of life and service to others with the need to prioritize self-care and my own wellbeing.My journey began when I was diagnosed with a life-changing autoimmune disease. Then, shortly thereafter, my daughter started to experience health challenges during her high school years. Most recently, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer, genetically derived, and I am BRACA II positive. These experiences, while difficult, have only increased my drive to serve others. It’s so important to remain mindful and to use our challenges as a chance to become wiser and more resilient. Through my experiences, I have made it my goal to bring awareness and collaboration to parents, peers, and businesses regarding affordable options of nature inspired holistic products to compliment and enhance lifestyles of all types. However, I have also learned that it is just as important to take time for self-care and to love each day because tomorrow isn’t promised. Forgive often and love unconditionally—these are the simple lessons that have guided me through life’s most difficult moments. At the end of the day, it’s important to remember that every challenge is an opportunity to grow. I am a firm believer that with wisdom and strength, we can overcome any obstacle.
