I began in the PTA volunteering to help with events, which later escalated into higher positions and responsibility. I had spearheaded and co-chaired some of Otsego's most lucrative fundraisers that range in profit from $500 to $17,000. All of which has refined my skills such as: organization, communication, critical thinking, working well in a team with 30+ members, social media presence and advertisement, managerial leadership, the Word Suite, record keeping, flexibility, and self motivation. I was the PTA Board of Education liaison as well as many years of class parent.

Designed and coordinated rich learning opportunities in the development of age-appropriate skills, such as exploration of language acquisition, literacy, science/math skills, creativity, discovery, and problem solving through a student-centered classroom approach. Created a safe and inclusive environment for students by being fair and consistent as well as recognizing their social-emotional well being.
