For the past 10 years, I have been working as a private tutor, specializing in teaching reading, writing, and spelling to students from age 3 to 5th grade. I am certified in LETRS and SOR, two research-based methods of instruction that are effective for diverse learners, including those with autism and dyslexia. I have helped hundreds of students improve their literacy skills and confidence, and I enjoy seeing them grow and learn.I am also an education advocate for autism parents, assisting them with determining what accommodations their children need to be successful in school. I attend ARD meetings as a support, and I communicate with teachers and administrators to ensure the students' needs are met. I have a background in public education, where I was awarded Teacher of the Year by my school. I have strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills that enable me to work well with students, parents, and colleagues. I am looking for a new challenge where I can use my skills and expertise to make a positive impact on the lives and education of young children.
