"Everybody has a creative potential and from the moment you can express this creative potential, you can start changing the world" - Paulo CoelhoAs an event coordinator, I use creativity in many ways. My creativity has assisted my clients by providing them with tools that can help guide them in an event planning process they may or may not be familiar with; providing ideas or suggestions on how to set their event apart; solve some of their event problems; genuinely connect through thoughtful conversation and brainstorming. As part of an amazing team, my creativity has contributed to social media planning and content; marketing plans; innovation of business and at times sheer entertainment for my co-workers. As a sessional lecturer, I have embedded creativity as a key component of my course. The students get to practice creative writing, designing, building and thinking to achieve success in projects, hands-on-learning and surviving a 3 hour class with me. On a personal level, I am rarely idle, unless I have immersed myself in a good book. The rest of the time I am busy creating wood projects in my shop, landscaping my dream yard, blogging about all the trials and tribulations of landscaping, or just enjoying the beautiful outdoors.
