About Jenn Paul

I am the Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging at ACTRA National, where I lead the development and implementation of proactive initiatives to support ACTRA’s strategic goals and ensure the long-term sustainability of DEIB efforts on behalf of 30,000 performers across Canada. Previous to my role at ACTRA National, I produced a number of independent shorts as well as a feature film, and held positions including Integrated Producer at Livewire Communications, Unit Manager at Bell Media, and Marketing & Distribution Manager at Union Pictures & Strada Films. In 2017, I co-founded Bell Media's first and largest D&I employee resource group: the Diversity and Inclusion Think Tank (DAITT). I currently sit on the board of BIPOC TV & Film, and am a Mentor in Residence through the Toronto Arts Foundation. After nearly a decade in film, television and agency environments, I'm pleased to have shifted my focus to advocating for a more equitable and inclusive Canadian film and television industry, through a combination of creativity, empathy, and strategic thinking.
