With a MEd in Learning, Design, and Technology from Penn State, a MFA in Creative Writing from Rosemont College and a BA in Literature from American University, I am a curriculum specialist, instructional designer and adjunct professor. I’ve also completed a graduate certification in Humane Education from Antioch University/Institute of Humane Education. The tenants of humane education and creating inclusive and accessible across curriculum arts/humanities/STEM integration is most important to my work and research.I have extensive knowledge and interest in education theory, curriculum building, instructional design, and learning trends. In 2020, I was asked to present my paper “World Building: Using Parallel Universe Theory to motivate students to be their best selves in a fully online learning environment” at the Keystone Digital Humanities conference. In 2023, my paper, "If We Know the Algorithm is Successfully Dangerous, Why Can't We Use it for Good?" was chosen for the conference. The presentation explores integrating the good parts of social media with a school's LMS. From 2018 to 2024, I worked for Jefferson University's Sidney Kimmel Medical College where I successfully project managed the university wide LMS transition from Blackboard to Canvas for over 1,000 medical students and I designed and implemented online courses with quick turnaround when courses went online due to COVID-19. I received instructional design credit for “Online Curricular Guide to Advanced Topics in Internal Medicine” published by the American Association of Medical Colleges in 2020.
