• Advised the Chairwoman on the House Financial Services Committee's legislative agenda, with particular focus on the Consumer Protection and Financial Institutions Subcommittee, the Investor Protection, Entrepreneurship, and Capital Markets Subcommittee, and the National Security, International Development and Monetary Policy Subcommittee• Worked with the Staff Director, Deputy Staff Director, and Chief Counsel to manage the Committee's hearings, markups, floor activity, retreats, and special events• Reviewed and advised on Committee materials including memoranda, subpoenas, statements and talking points• Advised Committee staff on House Rules, Democratic Caucus Rules and Committee Rules• Oversaw the Committee's Member Services operation• Managed the Committee's industry relations with all external stakeholders• Supervised the Committee's ongoing investigation of financial institutions' compliance with various Bank Secrecy Act/anti-money laundering policies and practices

• Managed a team of senior investigators on the House Financial Services Committee dedicated to the investigation of money laundering and the movement of illicit funds into the U.S. banking system • Informed Chairwoman Maxine Waters of potential strategies for the investigation that were developed by our team, and advised on the best approach, considering both the political and practical implications of each• Engaged with House Leadership staff and other House committee staff to coordinate investigations across committees • Assisted House General Counsel in developing and analyzing legal arguments in conjunction with House Rules to advance litigation in federal court• Drafted subpoenas, document requests, memoranda and correspondence on behalf of Chairwoman Waters• Conducted interviews of witnesses relevant to the Committee’s investigation • Briefed House Financial Services Democratic members on the status of the investigation and litigation as well as potential next steps, and provided suggested public remarks

• Oversaw a portfolio of policy matters within the jurisdiction of the Subcommittee on Monetary Policy and Trade and oversaw investigations within the jurisdiction of the Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations on the House Financial Services Committee• Engaged with private and public sector stakeholders and maintained a network of external policy experts• Developed and implemented strategies for investigating federal banking regulators, agencies and financial institutions within the jurisdiction of the Committee• Deposed witnesses, developed document requests, and engaged with Majority staff as well as outside counsel to scope and negotiate document requests to further Committee investigations

• Advised HUD senior staff within the Real Estate Assessment Center on developing official internal and external written communications, including operational procedures, memoranda, and decision papers• Researched and analyzed federal policy documents, the Code of Federal Regulations, HUD’s enabling legislation, legislation relating to other federal agencies’ programs, and the Federal Register• Provided oral and written feedback and recommendations concerning special project studies to senior staff
