About Jennifer Wescott, Mscsis
Try, fail, learn, rinse, repeat until I'm extremely efficient at whatever (lovingly a wearer of many hats here). I repeat this process until I'm proficient enough to teach someone else with the goal of them being confident and better than me, faster. And then I do it all over again. Navigating uncomfortable territory is my happy place. The process of going from "I have no clue" to "I got you" to "why don't you share your screen and I'll walk you through it" is my gold standard. Leading and/or actively participating in effective, actionable meetings is important to me. I love identifying kinks in processes or workflows, and then helping to streamline those to overcome inefficiencies is cathartic and feels like a game-winning home run when done right. Being resourceful, as well as being a resource to others is something I take seriously.I transitioned from hospitality management to tech and finished my Masters in Computer Science and Information Systems while getting a Master's in Parenting While Pregnant. And I'm actually pretty proud of the research paper (link below) that I hope will spark more research into the effects of an employee base that is security conscious and communicative.I may or may not be known for repeating, "$#(+ happens all the time, it's not about the mistake but how we respond that matters."Tennis is my mental and emotional health vacation as well as my competitive outlet. I love that sport so much I can actually name some of the people that play professionally 🤦♀️😆I feel like a super failure some days, while others I feel like a super human. I tend to believe in others, sometimes more than they believe in themselves. And so much more, but for me it seems everything always comes back to that small price of Try, Fail, Learn, Rinse, Repeat. TLDR: I tend to have fun, laugh a lot, learn new things, help others, be effective and innovative, do quality work, try hard, crush it while putting my Nikes on.
