Responsible for advising clients on corporate matters, mergers and acquisitions M&A, including negotiating a broad range of transactions across multiple divisions of AEP. Advised government affairs and lobbyists. Led legal initiatives and created programs and processes related to preventive law and business continuity. Represented AEP through participation on civic boards.

Responsible for leading a team of 60 employees for various legal services projects, including contentious legal discovery involving tobacco companies in nationwide asbestos and healthcare litigation. Created a startup web-enabled national home improvement company during the infancy of web-based businesses.

For the subsidiary, Speedway SuperAmerica, managed litigation and resolved legal matters in 5 state area through negotiation, mediation, and litigation. Coordinated, managed, and evaluated outside counsel. Resolved licensing, real estate, and zoning issues arising from retail operations in 19 states. Also worked at United States Steel Corporation, corporate parent of Marathon Oil Company.
